Westermo’s RedFox 7528 switch provides four 10Gb ports and OT cybersecurity features.

Westermo has introduced its RedFox 7528, an industrial Ethernet switch that provides four 10 gigabit uplink ports, 24 one-gigabit ports and a suite of cybersecurity features. With the latter, users can build networks in compliance with the IEC 62443 standard, the company says. Suitable for 19-inch cabinets, the switch is customizable with SFP transceivers and features configurable I/O fault contacts. With an IP40-rated fan-less all-metal housing and a redundant power supply, the switch can also handle a wide operating temperature range. The RedFox 7528 runs the company’s WeOS operating system, which integrates Westermo’s FRNT ring protocol for fast recovery of networks should a node or connection be lost.
